The location was close to Chocolatera- amazing westernmost tip of Ecuador where the Pacific Ocean spans almost 300 degrees and you can see Blue-footed Boobies and Sea Lions! It’s a short two-hour drive from Guayaquil Airport and from Montanita - cool coastal ceviche vibing town.

 We had a competicion to kill the biggest cockroach. We killed 3 within a yard of the adjoining door leading to the  kitchen of their restaurant. Ugh.
