Ellinospito is a gem! A beautiful property set in the mountains of Crete. We stayed for a night on our way from Chania to Heraklion, but I wish to come back for a longer stay sometime. We were greeted by the host and showed to our room, which had a balcony looking out over the mountains. It was quiet and completely peaceful, with the sounds of birds and goat bells in the hills creating an idyllic feeling. The mountain drive from Chania had beautiful views as well, with lots of winding turns to keep things exciting. We stopped on the way for groceries for dinner and breakfast. The property is beautiful, and you can tell that the owners take great care to make it comfortable.

The room was so thoughtfully prepared – every last detail! Maria went out of her way to ask me if I needed anything at all. Please let me know. She told me about the history of the TOWN and gave me directions, recommended a place to eat, etc.. A really great place with really lovely hostess.

Roomy room and enjoyed the balcony overlooking the town center. Bed was very comfortable. I thought the furnishings and construction definitely enhanced the stay for a mountain village. Overall, I felt it was a good choice me and I really enjoyed staying there. The communication with the host was excellent and I liked the self-check-in. I was there in November, so it was very peaceful.

Everything! Location, hostess Poppie’s greeting and support throughout my stay, the gorgeous traditional decor in the apartment, the view from the balcony and living area, fresh cherries from the garden.. It was such a wonderful experience!

We had an amazing stay at Anasa by the Sea! Our family rented two apartments for 3 nights and everything was perfect. The apartments are modern, spotless, and beautifully designed – very comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. The location is excellent, just a few steps from the beach and close to shops, restaurants, and everything you might need. What made the stay truly special was the incredible hospitality. The host is genuinely kind, helpful, and always available if needed. We really appreciated the welcome touches like Raki and water waiting in the fridge – a true taste of Greek hospitality! An extra surprise was discovering that the host also owns a taverna about 15 minutes away – and we can honestly say it was the best food we had during our whole trip to Crete. Absolutely worth the short drive. We felt completely at home and would happily come back. Highly recommended!
