We stayed 3 nights. Due to our poor planning, we arrived very late the first night. We kept them updated and they said it wasn’t a problem. We were aware of the 20 minute hike to get to the place which we actually found fun and exciting (we had headlamps). The entire path is unlit and we couldn’t see anything off the suspension bridge in that darkness. They were kind enough to offer us food if we were hungry even though the kitchen was already closed. The place was really very clean and new (it’s only the 2nd summer they’ve been open). Breakfast was typical Italian offer of mostly sweet snacks although if you ask for cold cuts, they will bring it. You have to ask for coffee if you don’t just want espresso. The philosophy seems to be ask and it will be given which we had no problem with. There is a shared fridge that the guests can use, unlimited tea and espresso and a kettle for guest use. The room did get warm in the day but we kept the windows wide open all night and it cooled off well. Sound insulation in the house was good, we never heard other guests. A pity that car noise travels very well in the valley with the windows open. The setting is beautiful, lots of recliners and hammocks available. There are hiking trails around, we especially enjoyed our hike to the river where we bathed and encountered no one. We really liked the feeling of being disconnected. The hike to the place is especially steep in one spot, but this should be no problem for a fit enough person. There is a railing you can hold on to. Tommaso and Giovanni, the guys running the place are young, optimistic, and really try to cater to your needs. We really enjoyed our stay.
