The view from my room was incredible, felt very serene and peaceful. Basic room but clean and everything you need. Good location just a short walk to the Main Street. Hosts were very kind and friendly, they drove me for free in their tuk tuk to catch my train when I left - thank you!

This place is definitely worth staying. We had the best feeling of "leisure" there. You would never find a property like this elsewhere. Breakfast was so good, and the staff is so kind and helpful. We were so lucky to visit the stay on the very first flight to Sri Lanka.  We had a breathtaking walk into the green jungle down there. It was so marvelous and interesting. We walked on water, rocks, tree trunks, etc. to visit the hidden waterfall there. No words to say; you must visit and feel

We had an amazing experience staying at Mountain Shack home stay. The food was absolutely delicious, with every meal prepared fresh and full of local flavors. We loved our stay at Ella Blue Heaven. The views are amazing and it’s a very peaceful and relaxing place to be. The room was really comfortable and clean and we had a lovely breakfast everyday. The host is super helpful and very hospitable. There is just one single track/road that goes from the main road in Ella down to the apartment, it takes around 10mins in a tuk tuk.

Everything! We totally recommend this place, the staff/manager was so friendly and we were even offered some snacks and coffee/tea upon arrival. The room was big and clean, there were a lot of facilities (e.g. minifridge etc.) and the balcony was as well very pretty. The street in frond has a lot of traffic but after 9pm it gets really quiet. There is no AC but a good fan and because of the cooler temperatures in Ella AC is not necessary. The location itself was just PERFECT, it‘s a 10min walk to the Nine Arches Bridge through stunning jungle and just 5-10min by foot to the centre of Ella!

Beautiful setting by the river surrounded by trees. Possibly the best Sri Lankan rice and curry we've had in 16 days. Also delicious fresh cold smoothies and an excellent breakfast. Super friendly helpful people. 100% recommend.

    The place is clean, the room is quite big compared to other places of similar price, they serve you breakfast at the room. Place is only 600m from the crowded village center. Perfect location. And they have a small parking lot too. Best part, the hosts. They help us to arrange a jeep safari for the next day in Yala National Park.
