My stay at the Swiss Bay Hotel in Arugam Bay was truly outstanding. It's a place that perfectly blends serene comfort with the vibrant spirit of Sri Lanka's east coast, leaving me with cherished memories and a strong desire to return. The location is simply unparalleled, right on the golden sands of Arugam Bay. Waking up to ocean views and having direct beach access for swims and surfing was incredible. What truly elevated my experience was the exceptional staff. Every member, from reception to housekeeping and the restaurant team, provided genuine warmth and attentiveness, making me feel like a valued friend. Their friendly smiles and readiness to assist were remarkable. The accommodations were a tranquil haven: spacious, beautifully appointed, and impeccably clean, offering a perfect retreat. Beyond the comforts, the atmosphere of Swiss Bay Hotel strikes a perfect balance between lively energy and peaceful relaxation. My time here was an absolute dream. It's a place where every detail is cared for, every guest is cherished, and every moment feels like a true escape. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Monson Resort is nestled in a natural environment that instantly makes you feel at one with nature. ##Amazing encounters with wildlife During our stay at Monson Resort, we were fortunate enough to witness amazing wildlife. Waking up early in the morning, not far from the window were wild elephants roaming freely, impressing us with their large and graceful figures. The colorful peacocks sometimes unfurled their magnificent tail feathers and glittered charmingly in the sunlight, adding a sense of life and vitality to this peaceful land. <aside> Every morning, wild animals can be seen moving freely in the distance through the windows, and this experience of being so close to nature is a precious moment that cannot be obtained in city life. </aside> ## Accommodation with nature and comfort Monson Resort accommodations combine the elements of nature with comfort. Our rooms are built in the traditional local architectural style using natural materials in harmony with the surroundings. The open-plan design allows us to listen to the sounds of nature - the singing of birds, the rustling of leaves in the breeze, and the occasional call of a herd of elephants in the distance. Each room has been carefully furnished with simplicity and warmth, allowing us to enjoy nature without losing the comforts of modern life. Lying in bed at night, you can see the sky full of stars through the window, and this pure experience is unforgettable. ## Gourmet feasts cooked by the hostesses themselves One of the highlights of Monson Resort is that every meal is cooked by the hostess herself. Using fresh local ingredients, she utilizes traditional Sri Lankan cooking techniques to the fullest.

This place is amazing. Little quiet paradise near busy Arugam Bay. You can enjoy walks along the beach or sunsrise on the beach, relax in hamaka. We loved our stay here. The cottages are so nice and cute, the beach is right next to it and hotel manager Mureli took amazing care of us. He helped us with our tuktuk trouble, he is amazing chef, the food was so delicious. He did his job perfectly and went even beyond. If we'll return to Sri Lanka we will definitely pay this place a visit. Probably the most beautiful place we stayed in Sri Lanka. And for amazing price.

The location was excellent. Very close to the beach, the surfing point and the restaurants. We had our bags stored before our room was ready, and when we left we could keep the room for the entire day until our night bus arrived since the room had not been booked by others. New AC working very well. Room and bathroom was clean.

Beautiful property, people and views. We had such an amazing time staying at Whisky Point Resort and will definitely be back soon. Anna and Nicola are super warm and welcoming and will go over and beyond to give each and every one of their guests their time and attention to personalise their stay and make sure they are comfortable and enjoying every minute of their stay. The property is perfect for those who want to get away and enjoy the peace and quiet with amazing ocean views, clean beaches and Sri Lanka’s most stunning nature and wild life, whilst sleeping to the sound of the ocean waves and waking up to stunning sunrises. The food was super delicious and the authentic Italian restaurant even has a pizza oven! Thank you to all the chefs and kitchen staff! Kolvin is super friendly and will make sure you get the drinks and dishes that will leave you more than satisfied. The property is just 25 min away from the best surfing spots. Through Anna’s recommendation we were able to get a great surfing coach, Jaso took care of us and made sure that our beginnings in surfing are smooth and safe and most importantly FUN! Thank you to Anna, Nicola and all the staff for making our stay so special! Hoping to be back soon!
