I booked this place to take shelter from an approaching storm. The hostel is housed in former border crossing buildings, which adds a unique touch. The place was clean, and the toilets and showers were spotless. And you ger a free cidfie or tea at nearby casino.

Calm location for listening the welcome rain in the middle of a hot summer. Being in the middle of forest even the forecasted winds mostly skipped the tranquil yard. Good breakfast, although it would be more ecological to ask about dietary restrictions before offering sausages. Well, the owner appeared to have some pets, although didn't spot them outside in the rainy weather, so guess the parts not eaten found some other use. Would also recommend the location for family events (if properly arranged with the owner well in advance). Building itself was actually best example of properly done masonry I have seen in Latvia, thanks for restoring my belief in properly built buildings still existing :-)
