The room was located by the sea with a great view. It's clean, cozy, warm and well stocked with all necessities. Marcel was very friendly and helpful. Our car had a battery problem in the morning and wouldn't start, Marcel helped to start the car and helped us to contact the car rental company to solve the problem. It was an unforgettable experience, thanks again to Marcel and his house. Highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful cabins in a beautiful place. Shared toilet/shower/kitchen. We are Thankful to Mr Bes, he helped is checked-in in the midnight. We wont be able to get in if he wasnt there at that time.

The wait staff was amazing. Very friendly and talkative. The young lady from Spain who waited on us for dinner and the young man from France who waited on us at breakfast were very kind and very interested in us and very interesting when we asked them about themselves. The breakfast was excellent.

We did not eat, breakfast should have been free for the crazy amount it cost to stay the night. The dinner, Halibut however, was about the best meal we have had!

This is a truly magical place to stay - the location and view are fantastic. Jack was a wonderful host, a pleasure to talk to (about hiking and photography - he is an expert in both topics). Will definitely return when I am next in this part of the world.

I loved everything about this beautiful, cozy cottage. My home away from home! I felt very taken care of, safe as a solo female traveler, and was able to truly relax and fall in love with the views! Just so beautiful and surreal!! I did get to see the auroras here too faintly for 5 minutes over the mountain top! Id stay here again and want to bring my parents..I miss it already. Martha is very gracious and kind. I will never forget. 💖🙌

    View was nice and salmon were swimming right next to the cabin. Parking was easy 10m from the walkway. Cabin itself was really big.

    I found the village of A to be almost too quiet, but then again I was there in mid-September. I did, however, enjoy staying at this hostel, located in a historic building. Our room was quite large for three people. Good shower area and communal bathrooms. Free parking was easy to find. There are, fortunately, two places nearby for meals/snacks (the Museum cafe and Brygga waterfront restaurant; otherwise, A does not offer much else besides beautiful scenery.
