fantastic!! a beautiful casa. exceptionally clean room. remote location, so don't expect to walk to a resturant, but very quiet. Beatriz was the staff member there in the morning and she was beyond welcoming. She had a wonderful breakfast selection set out for us and made several fantastic suggestions for nearby towns to visit. there is a pool that looks beautiful, but it was closed because it was october. one of the best places we stayed in portugal.

that’s such a lovely place. it’s a hidden gem in Portugal country side. It has a great view of a vineyard. the staff is excellent!

Casa do Leão is right at the center of old Marialva. The village is beautiful and peaceful. Summer nights with open windows are possible as there are no noises coming from outside (except for the nature ones) and there is a mosquitoe net on the larger window. Parking is easy. The house itself is comfortable and well equipped. Breakfasts with local products were super delicious and more than enough. Marisa and Olimpio are great hosts and made us feel right at home! Definitely recommend Casa do Leão and looking forward to come back!
