The staff were just wonderful - the owners worked so hard to make our trip special. My daughter's birthday was the day after we left but they made sure she felt special. This is a great place for families, solo travellers and those travelling for work. Highlights: exceptionally clean, a lovely breakfast, a characterful property and a great location for museum and bus station.

Beautiful room in a lovely building with a supermarket and restaurant downstairs. Helpful and understandable staff as well as they let me stay when I had just arrived and pay the next day since I had to first change the money. They also have taxes outside which is helpful.

I really liked my stay here. Loved the location . It was close to the downtown area. It was also affordable especially if you are looking for something on a budget. Host was attentive and very helpful especially with sorting out locations and areas in town and even back to the apartment. There was WIFI too and you get a nice view from the balcony.

There are quite a few things to love about the High Ground Villa. First of all, communication with the owner was clear, polite, and helpful from the very first moment after I made the reservation. More importantly, both the owner and the staff were genuinely kind, friendly, and supportive. We truly needed that, as we were moving to Kigali for two years with our whole family. Anyone who has gone through such a move knows how much that kind of help means when settling into a new country — and even a new continent in our case. Jean Claude, the owner, went above and beyond our expectations as a host. Lastly, the villa’s location and the breathtaking views over Kigali are just outstanding. The nicely kept garden, colorful flowers, fresh air, peaceful atmosphere, and a touch of surrounding wilderness made it a wonderful place to start our African adventure.

It's hard not to give the best writing for this hotel as it exceeded our expectations. The complimentary airport pick up was fantastic. Staff on arrival and throughout our stay were some of the best we ever encountered. Thank you! The room was spacious and well laid out. Breakfast was in an enormous room and it was perfect. The location of the hotel itself was very central.
