Absolutely magical stay in this farm. The room was very comfortable, clean, and pretty. Our favorite thing about Resta was of course the surroundings. We travelled with our 1,5 year old who was so happy to wake up to chickens, a donkey & a horse every morning.

We had hoped to experience the Swedish countryside as we drove from Stockholm to Goteborg. This was a perfect spot for us! After we arrived, we wandered around the grounds and went swimming, taking photos of the beautiful gardens and flowers. The next day, we enjoyed an amazing breakfast and tour of the castle. Beds were comfortable and rooms had beautiful views of gardens and fields.

Quintessential Swedish, very nice, helpful hosts. As I had read in other reviews, the housekeeping was wanting, but it’s a wonderful space, in a rural, agricultural area.

Very nicely located in the center of town. Maybe not super advanced but everything was nice and clean and better than I expected for the price. Good sized room for the small option with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was good with a decent selection for a smaller hotel.

The breakfast is a do-it-yourself affair, which was fine for us. There were hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, cheeses, meats, yogurt with toppings, cereal and juices. My wife and I loved the farm table and cozy setting--and especially the barn full of horses, the show, ring and the beautiful farm land and forests around the property. It was a spectacular setting!

We liked the kindness of the hostess very much We got the impression that every detail in this hostel has been thought out and designed with great care and elegance. If we - four pensioners - had any prejudices against hostels, staying in Uppsala dispelled them.
