Like other reviews for Mixtepek the rooms are clean and what you would expect for a hostel. What makes this hostal standout is the hands on approach of the owners Ovi and Daysi. They will help you with any tours, rentals or travel plans. Alonso is always around to assist with any questions you may have if Ovi is not there. In our case, we were injured in an accident and Ovi and Daysi came and picked us up when we were released from the hospital. Not only that, there were no other taxis available, so he drove us to our next destination in Nahuizalco. They are truly amazing people, we are so grateful for their kindness and generosity..

The owner and his family were extremely welcoming & friendly to all guests. It was almost like we weren't guests but rather family during my stay. Internet was very strong. Kitchen facilities where very adequate. The neighborhood is very quiet at night. Drinking water is included. I can totally see why many guests extend longer here at Bambú Hostel.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this property deserves a solid 10! Everything was well thought out on the property and in the rooms. Hot showers and super clean. Breakfast was the best of the trip and the staff!!! Enough can’t be said for the warm welcome, helping plan excursions, attention to detail and the very best birthday yet! They really went way above and beyond to make us feel at home.

The property is located down a quaint and quiet street close to the center of town. Our room was cozy, functional and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped and showers have hot water.     Excellent hotel. And best coffee in the country!! The staff were amazing, very attentive and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The parking was next door and they always locked it. We arrived late and so the place was in lockdown. If you do get there late you may need to call them to let you in. But the front desk lady saw us looking confused and came down and got us.

    Most modern possible stay in Juayua, the staff were extremely kind and flexible as our plans changed and we requested to stay an extra day. The room was comfortable, the shower never ran out of hot water, the staff was always cheery. They have free parking as well, which is meters from the property in a very big open lot. The rooftop where they serve breakfast was also pleasant.

    Great location, parking available right outside, easy check in process and comfortable bed. Staff were very helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here, beautiful place considering it was only £20 for the night!

    A modern building, bright and very clean. There is a rooftop cafe (free breakfast) with outstanding views of nearby volcanoes! Below the hotel are a pharmacy, ATM and cellular store. Private secure parking for our motorcycle. Very good value!

    Great value for money in a modern and very clean hotel with very friendly staff. The view from the roof top bar where breakfast is served is amazing. Perfect location makes it easy to explore yuayua walking. We had our laundry washed and dried at the hotel - fast and easy for 7 dollars. Secure and free parking on the hotel parking lot.
