I was pleasantly surprised at how great my stay was at Aura Suites. I booked this hotel at the last minute because my previous hotel made me feel uncomfortable. I was able to book the morning of, at a great prices for the 1-bedroom suite I stayed in. The location was great given that I wanted to be closer to the ferry terminal due to my intentions to visit Zanzibar during my stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the restaurant on the 16th floor had great food options, and the laundry service was clutch.

Brown was super nice. We reserved a Dar Es Salaam tour with him. I would definitely recommend it!! Definitely worth it! Even if you're just passing through and only have an afternoon, ask about the tour. The room was very very nice!! Definitely exceeded expectations. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment with a private living room, bathroom and kitchen. Very nice. Brown also picked us up at the port, drove us around and dropped us off at the airport at 1 am. I traveled with one friend. We are both two young women traveling alone. Brown made us feel safe in Dar Es Salaam.

Clean cute small flat, very central to transport anywhere you are going. Staff and host were just great people, really attentive. All essentials were in the flat and it's a very safe and peaceful area with shops in walking distance. Will definitely be calling again and again as it's just a great place to stay. No negatives, in my opinion.

    none. The facility is more of a BROTHEL than anything else. The apartment name is something like DONG XING. There was a drunk Chinese guy on the parking lot screaming and a skinny Tanzanian lady hovering all over him like a vulture hovering over a carcass and not helping a thing. Later the gentleman was dragged away to his apartment being followed by the lady.

    The attendant Anne was a life saver. She was willing and able to do whatever necessary to make sure we were well and comfortable. She even had a table made just for me to work at. Exceptional care from her. Thank you Anne! Also, it was nice to be near Coco Beach. In addition the place has a swimming pool, free parking, air conditioning, a balcony, and a gym! I was only able to enjoy the free parking because of time, but still the environment is very pleasant. Also the security is high so we felt extremely safe.

    We really appreciate that we could left our rented car in the parking lot of the hotel guarded for a reasonable fee while we were 2 days on a trip to Zanzibar. The location is perfect - in the centre, many shops around, and the most important for us - it is in the walking distance to the ferry to Zanzibar.
