We actually got upgraded to the sister property of the Forest Lodge, Lamp Lighter Inn. Beautiful room, fireplace, jet soaking tub, huge room. Very close to the ocean.

The rooms are large and comfortable. Very nice touch of complimentary snacks and wine + Nespresso machine in the room. We did not make use of the spa and pool but access to sauna and steam room is allowed. Staff is very friendly and helpful, including at the restaurant. Food of very good quality and taste.

Just 5 miles from Monterey Bay Aquarium, this luxury Carmel hotel offers a complimentary champagne brunch each morning. Guests will enjoy the outdoor pool complete with loungers.

The Vagabond Inn is so incredibly charming... with wonderful staff and facilities, along with a terrific location. "Room 3" has the cutest little twin bed built in under a window. Highly recommend.
