Built in 1853 and right on the picturesque Fürstenweg, a small path leading to Neuschwanstein Castle, Gutshof zum Schluxen enjoys a quiet location in the middle of fields with grazing cows and horses,... Beautiful location, very easy to access from Füssen just over the boarder, nice tidy clean room inside a traditional converted farmhouse. Love the animals (horses, goats) all around the property in the fields. Very quiet and comfortable. They even have free massage chairs to use in a spa room, we didn’t use the sauna or jet jacuzzi style baths (the weather was hot) but I’m sure they are also good! Nice and quiet, good nights sleep.

There were horses and cows in the neighbouring buildings, we could pet them. It was quite interesting for us (from the city). There was a separate room for the ski boots, with a ski-boot-drier, so we got fresh and warm skiboots every morning. The breakfast was delicious, the grandma asked me the first day how I like my coffee, and I got my coffee every morning the same way, she remembered that. You can eat lunch and dinner (supper) there if you like. The prices are good, and they always have something special.

The room was beautiful with a large, comfortable bed, nice rainfall shower head with great water pressure, a nice balcony with rocking chairs, and beautiful lighting throughout the room including nice reading lights on the bed. The restaurant was excellent (I ate dinner there every night). The breakfast was very good, with plenty of savory and sweet options. The value for the price was exceptional.
