I rented a room here last minute when I decided it would be best to spend one night in Tangkou after hiking Huangshan rather than trekking all the way back to my lodgings in Huangshan City (60 km away). This boutique hotel is a gem--beautifully designed and extremely comfortable. The staff offered to pick me up from the bus stop after a long day of hiking in torrential rain (they had provided their WeChat number, and replied almost immediately), and also arranged for my transportation back to Huangshan City the following day (the price for this latter was just a bit higher than the intercity bus I took on the way there, and was much more comfortable). They also recommended the best hiking route for my second day on Huangshan (which turned out to be spectacular). The hotel exceeded all of my expectations and I would certain stay there again! It's in a wonderful spot (surrounded by mountains right along the river, a short walk away from one of the scenic area entry points). Mimi, the resident kitty cat, was also adorable.

When we didn’t know where to go on the mountain we could text them and they would give us directions. They gave us good advice for a local spa and arranged our transportation for the four days. The meals they prepared were very tasty and they had very good tea. Lastly they had a very cute cat. I would recommend staying here!

They were very friendly, helpful, and personable. They went out of their way to make our brief stay comfortable and memorable. They organised our pick-up at the railway station, explained to us at length how to tackle our trip up the mountain for over 70s like us. They organised our trip to the nearby villages of Zidi and Hongcun with a good, dependable communicative driver. For these, we thank you and would definitely stay here again if we come by this way again.

Nice breakfast starting from 5:30 so you can climb early (convenient in summer). Children loved the stones in the shower floor, especially after a long day hiking in the mountains !
