Located on the Ile d’Oleron, the Hotel Île De Lumière offers direct access to the beach. It has an outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court and many other facilities. The location is picture perfect, literally. It is on the western coast of the island, so if there is a sunset, you would see it. On our days, it was rainy, but that simply brought a different kind of beauty. The beaches were mostly empty - we had them to ourselves. There are several ways to get to the beach below, and all are an easy, short walk. Yet, the hotel is elevated, so you have a lovely view of the coastline. The room was light and airy, and very clean. There is plenty of storage space, and a nice shower with plenty of pressure. The bed was very comfortable, and there were room darkening curtains. The hotel was full when we were there, but it was still quiet. Breakfast is not included, but we found it to be worth the price. There was a lot of variety in the pastries offered, along with cheese, meat, boiled eggs, cereal, and fruit. We would recommend this place, and would stay again.

Nestled in the heart of La Rochelle and set in an 18th-century building, Maison des Ambassadeurs is just a 5-minute walk from the Old Harbour and offers a 24-hour front desk as well as a concierge... Everything was excellent. The personnel were charming and welcoming, they were always smiling. I encountered a problem in my room and they dealt with it momentarily. Pools was nice in comparison to the city and what is available. Loved my stay.

Situated in the lively Saint Nicolas district in La Rochelle, this hotel is surrounded by antique dealers, bars and cafés. It offers free Wi-Fi and a conservatory with large sofas and tropical plants.... Fabulous place & had a great stay. Have stayed twice now & definitely recommend But…

Offering a garden and garden view, Charmant appartement cosy is set in Rochefort, 34 km from Parc des Expositions de la Rochelle and 35 km from La Rochelle Train Station. Everything was really well presented. There was everything that we needed, and some very nice touches. Would be very happy to recommend this apartment to anyone looking to visit Rochefort, and would stay there again ourselves. Close to sites to visit.

Set in Dolus-d'Oléron in the Poitou-Charentes region with Grande Plage nearby, La maison bleue offers accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. Wonderful rooms furnished with style, extremely helpful and nice hosts, beautiful garden, jacuzzi and a cute cat. What else do you need for a perfect holiday? We only stayed one night but I could imagine a whole summer in these settings.

Lovely clean room and friendly staff. They were very welcoming and kind. Good breakfast. Perfect place for a lone traveller to explore the area.

Situated 200 metres from Grande Conche Beach, Résidence Odalys L'Orée du Parc offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and an indoor pool. We loved the lovely, spacious apartment. Everything we needed was available to cook meals.

Offering a garden and garden view, La Grelauderie 4 is located in Saintes, 2 km from Abbaye aux Dames and 3.2 km from Saint Pierre Cathedral. Despite the small size, this was an impressively well designed and well planned apartment. The bed was the most comfortable with cotton sheets and the kitchen island provided for a very functional kitchen and dining experience. Loved it!
