The hotel has a lot of history and is proud of it, rightfully so. The village itself is very picturesque.

The room where we stayed is spacious, bright and clean and has a view on St Edward's churchyard, and one of the breakfast rooms has a view on the famous church door. Staff is very kind and helpful. Really recommended!

The village is tiny and quiet and has some charming buildings. I learned from visiting the church nearby that the New Inn has historical Significance as a center of social and civic life.
