The Little Mill Inn is a traditional country pub is in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside, close to Hayfield, Kinder Scout and The Pennine Way. We stayed at the little mill for the second time, We just loved the peace and quiet , and the opportunity to switch off completely, Sarah & Ian and all of the staff where wonderful hosts , we will be back.

Located within 14 km of Chatsworth House and 23 km of FlyDSA Arena in Chesterfield, The Peacock at Barlow provides accommodation with seating area. It’s a great property. It’s a historic pub, but modernized. Our bedroom included a full soaking tub and a beautiful view of the Yorkshire countryside. The food was fantastic. The staff was fantastic. We stayed there on a Thursday night and they were having trivia night. The place was packed with people having a good time. It was decorated for the Christmas holiday holidays. It was warm and joyous and a fabulous part of our journey. It’s a short drive to Chatsworth house and a great place to stay if you decide to do Chatsworth Christmas.

Avenue House is located in Bakewell, within 2.4 km of Haddon Hall and 3.3 km of Chatsworth House. Built in 1900, the property is within 2.8 km of Ashford Castle. Free WiFi is available. I loved everything . Nothing is too much trouble for the people running Avenue House . They’re genuinely super people who go over and above in every aspect of running a b n b .

A luxurious 4-star hotel just off the M1, Casa offers modern accommodation with a Spanish theme. A 3-minute drive from Chesterfield Town Centre, it has free Wi-Fi and free parking. Excellent location. Excellent restaurant. Nice bar. Great people!

Set in Buxton and only 700 metres from Buxton Opera House, The Old Manse Guesthouse offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. cosy comfy room..bed was lovely..tea coffee and milk available..biscuits water and sweets ..a real treat..the breakfast was amazing…lots of choice with everything you could possibly want..great location…this will be my go to place when staying in Buxton

The Stable Rooms, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Kirk Ireton, 27 km from Chatsworth House, 28 km from Alton Towers, as well as 38 km from Buxton Opera House. Sarah was the absolute perfect host- stellar breakfast all prepared for you...hot pastries and bread smells wafting up the stairs Bed extremely comfortable and it was wonderful to have a bath. Situated in a picture perfect sleepy village..Great escape for a couple of days.

Set in Whaley Bridge, 12 km from Buxton Opera House and 23 km from Capesthorne Hall, The Jodrell Luxury Suites offers accommodation with free WiFi in a historic building. I loved my stay! The aesthetics were stunning and created a cozy atmosphere. I particularly appreciated the extra touches like complimentary coffee and hot chocolate, which added a special charm to my experience. Highly recommend!

Boasting garden views, Derbyshire Holiday Cottages features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 13 km from Chatsworth House. Sadly we could only stay one night . Everything was perfect . The cottage was nicely situated deep in the countyside but not too far away from the town of Chesterfield . The property was immaculately presented and had everything you could possibly need . There was even a fresh pint of milk in the fridge . A big thanks to Tracy for a very warm welcome . We will definitely visit again the next time we are in Derbyshire . Ps I hope you got the rain you so desperately wanted for the horses .

Located in Bolsover, 20 km from Clumber Park, Sanctuary inn provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. This 5-star hotel features free WiFi and a bar. The facilities were absolutely incredible The hosts were incredibly welcoming and even bumped us up to a double room because they had one available. The price of the rooms include breakfast! I had a full English and my partner had mushrooms on toast both were incredible. The food here is outstanding the baked Brie and the ribs from the tapas menu were insanely delicious and the steaks were cooked perfectly. The bar is clearly the social hub of Bolsolver with a large selection of drinks and a very welcoming atmosphere. I was initially a little concerned that I would be able to hear the sbr as you stay above it. BUT I can honestly say you can NOT hear anything and it was the best nights sleep I have had in a hotel. It's in a very quaint setting and the town of Bolsolver is very beautiful.. I recommend Bolsolver castle as a place to visit that and Hardwicke Hall. Finally the servers and all the staff are absolutely incredible so attentive and polite and very knowledgeable about the area. If I could rate them higher I would they were so amazing. Genuinely one of the best places I have ever stayed
