We loved everything. Perfect. We had a family room, very neatly decorated, like the rest of the property. Comfortable, calming and pretty. There was tea and coffee in the room as well as all other hotel amenities. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Location was absolute best and breakfast was excellent. We will come back for sure.

The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. The hotel sits in its own mature grounds, with beautiful views overlooking the River Rothay.

Free parking is included for guests. Great location in the center of beautiful Grasmere village. Quiet with some ground around it. Huge comfortable and well equipped rooms. Dedicated parking spots. Great base for starting walks or for going to restaurants and bars in the town. Good breakfast, complimentary scones’n’cream, very helpful staff.

In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. With free parking and free Wi-Fi, it serves hearty breakfasts cooked to order. Guests can swim in the property's off-site pool. Located in a perfect location within walking distance of a number of eating establishments Breakfast and staff were extremely helpful. Had a room on the top floor with a vertical spiral staircase. Ask for this room. Provided parking which was also a plus. The rate should have been higher as one could not ask for more. Would have paid more without a second thought.

The surrounding National Park offers plenty of scenic routes for walking and cycling, and Ambleside is a 10-minute drive away. Windermere Rail Station is a 5-minute drive from the building. There is free parking and secure bike lock up on site. The Guest House is very well decorated clean and fresh. Our bedroom was a good size very comfortable bed with a TV and tea and coffee facilities. Excellent shower is very powerful in a separate cubicle. There is a small lounge for guests to use with a fridge and microwave. Very nice dining room and breakfast was excellent with friendly accommodating staff. Looked a bit out of the way on the map but perfect location as a base for touring the lakes. Bus stop outside. Londis supermarket next door at the garage that stocks most things you might want including food and drinks. Five min walk to a lovely pub that had a good choice of drinks and great food menu. What we had was excellent. On site car park We were very pleased with our choice and happy to recommend.

The views from the breakfast room are so good it was once listed in The Times Top 10 Most Scenic Restaurants. Warm welcome, excellent breakfast, ample parking. Great location. The honesty bar was a winner. Highly recommend a stay.
