It has a huge open log fireplace in the bar, and an award-winning restaurant. This stay was the main part of my holiday. I was upgraded (due to an error made) and everything went smoothly after that. The morning staff was exceptionally helpful when I discovered that the trains were on strike. I had to get to Canterbury and it looked like I wasn't going to make it. I cannot express enough gratitude to the one lady in particular (blonde hair, I believe) who helped me out so much with this predicament. She was so concerned about my situation and she spent a lot of time finding me an alternative route by bus. THANK YOU!!!!!! This is the kind of staff member all hotels should have. She was caring and compassionate and figured out my problem herself. It took a huge weight off of my shoulders and I wish I could have given her a big hug. I did write to let them know I had arrived safely and they were glad to hear that and wished me well. Everything about The Mermaid Inn was spectacular. Just loved the place! The lounges were stunning. The staff at the bar was wonderful. All of the staff members at the inn were very friendly. I appreciated the tour of the cellars. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Brighton House is a 200-year-old, listed building and has the stairs to confirm this! As we don't have a lift, we advise anyone who has difficulty with stairs to take this into consideration before booking. Beautiful place, perfect position, fabulous breakfast provided included cereal, fruit,cheeses, meats,fish,croissants,toast.. Also available croissants during the day. Balcony room bright and cheerful. Great host.

Right in the centre of Brighton & Hove, North Laine Sunny Cottage - PARKING available has city views from the terrace. This holiday home features accommodation with a patio. Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. The apartment itself and the location were perfect as was the communication with the host. The free car parking is a real bonus. It’s easy to find, if you miss it you just drive one more circle. It’s only a one minute walk from the apartment, The space is a little tight, but definitely doable if you follow the host’s instructions.

You can tell that a lot of thought had been put into the place and there were some lovely extra touches such as milk in the fridge, bottled water ect. The bed was also ridiculously comfy, couldn't fault it and will stay here again the next time I'm in Newhaven😊

He recommended us a lot of lovely places with good food and entertainment that we enjoyed multiple times during our stay. The room is also very lovely/ modern. There is a window on the ceiling above the bed where you can watch the starts at night :).

All was as expected could not rate the staff ascwe didn't see anybody.

The property is non-smoking and is located 200 metres from Hastings Beach. Location was great, loved that there was a bakery right below. Great location close to anything you want to do in old town. Very clean and many extras included in the rental (soaps, shampoos, linens, towels, kitchen utensils). All great and price was excellent.
