Highlights were: the large, comfortable and private terrace, where we enjoyed snacks and wine from town; the extremely helpful staff both for our needs during our stay and for information about the area; and the grounds around the building. The view from the terrace was great.

The people stood out most of all. Shout out to Maria and Christoph who really looked after us for the week. Would 10/10 recommend if you crave a truly relaxing holiday.

The location is pet-friendly, near organised campings, just a short drive to Mavrovouni and Gythio, with the beach 400 meters on foot. Perfect for a quiet holiday in nature. The hosts are genuinely warm and welcoming, making you feel like one of their own, and breakfast is sufficient.

We stayed for one night (but I wish we’d stayed for two nights at least). Porto Kagio is a very small intimate charming little village stretched across the beach of a small cove. A wonderful getaway spot with stunning views on the approach. The owner Panayioti was kind and generous, offering to help with our bags then bringing us coffee on our patio. Our room was charming and well appointed, with a cupboard, a desk, a suitcase rack, and a little fridge. Clean with a comfortable bed. We had a patio with a sea view and we were a short stroll to the beach. Breakfast was served on the top floor patio although the owner offered to serve us on our patio. Breakfast itself was fine although myself I would have liked some fresh fruit too. We did an easy walk around to the point where there is a little church and a stunning view back to the cove. We ate fresh and perfectly cooked fish at Taverna Porto right on the beach. An enjoyable time altogether.

We loved our stay at Monodendri and will return next year for sure. The location is ideal, near the village but not right inside. The sea was on our doorstep, we sat on our veranda and soaked in the view. The apartment was perfect in size with great aircon, comfy beds and espresso machine. The staff were so friendly and warm. Our stay was perfect and we didn't want to leave.

Breakfast is delicious with lots of options. We had a lovely stay.
