Great rooms, excellent views and an extremely hospitable host sums up our stay here. The hotel itself is at a height with views of the Prespa lake and the village from the very large balcony adjoining the room. The room itself is very large with a large bathroom with high quality amenities. There is a provision for tea and coffee in the room with a small restaurant for breakfast and coffee above a flight of stairs. We arrived to a warm welcome by the host and greeted with hot coffee. Cookies just out of the oven were served free. Breakfast was prepared by the hostess’ mom and it was very elaborate, freshly made and delicious. We were not aware of this and had requested an early breakfast at 6.30 am and felt a bit bad about waking her up so early. However she was all smiles and spoke to us about India in Greek through her interpreter (daughter). They invited our guide for breakfast though he was staying somewhere else. There is a restaurant in the village about 5-7 mins walk from the property that’s very lively and serves great food.

For anyone who enjoys nature and birds - including pelicans, nightingales and hoopoes - it is hard to imagine a more perfect spot. The fish prepared in the restaurant opposite was wonderful. Thank you to our hosts, always kind, thoughtful and informative.

Gististaðurinn er staðsettur í Vrontero í Makedóníu, 33 km frá Kastoria. Al Monte Hotel státar af grilli og fjallaútsýni. Gestir geta farið á barinn á staðnum. Beautiful traditional building, carefully restored to its former glory by the owner. Spacious, warm rooms, huge beds and delicious home made breakfast. The owner was very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful part of Greece.

Featuring garden views, Χαγιάτι provides accommodation with a garden and a terrace, around 16 km from Mikri Prespa Lake. This guest house offers accommodation with a balcony. We really liked the room which was very traditional, as well as the always helpful and smiling staff.

Muses Apartments er nýlega uppgert íbúðahótel sem er staðsett í Pisoderi og býður upp á garð. Excellent location for the ski centre. Also very close to prespes lakes.

Pisoderi er gististaður með garði og verönd, í um 31 km fjarlægð frá Megali Prespa-vatni. Þaðan er útsýni yfir ána. Spacious living room with fire place and plenty of wood provided a very cozy atmosphere for lounging and rekaxation. Our cat definitely enjoyed it! Fully equipped kitchen, albeit old school facilities. Very thoughtful and polite host.
