Private parking is available on site. Comfortable but with very tiny rooms. Unusual experience {which we liked} for a big hotel is that you must not wear shoes at any place in the hotel. All floors are carpeted with tatami mats, which are beautiful, but since this hotel caters a lot to tour groups, the front doors become jammed when a bus comes in and people must remove their shoes. Tour groups also bottleneck at the elevators and restaurant. Breakfasts looked great, but we wouldn't go when tours were lined up. Excellent coffee always available. Outdoor onsen was tiny (maybe 3 meters by 3 meters). Indoor onsen was large enough, but not hot enough. Great location with lots of restaurants nearby. Fantastic English-speaking staff. Dormy's HR Dept know their stuff. We'd stay again, despite the small rooms and small onsen. Visit the very old downtown onsen, Takegawara, , a must, and the seafront walk, Good bakery (Mermaid) at the train station. Liveely downtown area.

The private onsen is very impressive. I got lost because my GPS doesn't work and I got there late at night. Fortunately, I brought the phone number and the name of the hotel in Japanese. The owner is so nice to come to pick me up and take me to the hotel safely.

Meeting other travellers at “Kotatsu” table… never happened in my life, and was superb experience!

The accommodation was fantastic, with convenient parking and a private onsen. It’s particularly suitable for those traveling by car. If you don’t have a car, I recommend buying dinner to bring along, as the walk down to the village can be quite dark. However, if you have a car, it’s easy to drive out for food, as restaurants aren’t far away. The place itself was wonderful, and the host was incredibly kind. If I visit again, I’ll definitely stay here!

We love this place everything it’s amazing if you like nature camping this is the place , perfect location few activities, the staff spoke English made it easy for us , staff very friendly and attentive, our stay included breakfast and dinner and let me tell you was delicious great wine selection as well, I don’t have enough words to describe how wonderful this place is, 10 out of 10 indeed. I highly recommend the Grand Verde Resort!!! You won’t regret it
