Dormy Inn Aomori Natural Hot Spring is set in Aomori, 6 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 43 km from Tsuta Hot Spring. With a restaurant, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Onsen and massage chair were unable to miss! On top of that, there are free half-size ramen and ice-cream at night. Breakfast is the best. My husband really liked to have Nuttö together with half-boiled eggs. I loved sashimi bowl with buffet scallops and maguro. Fried scallop and shrimp together with mustard and the clam miso soup were very amazing. One more thing was the apple juice made by famous apple from Aomori.

Easy location near Yamagata Station, nice clean rooms and facilities, great amenities, 7-11 right downstairs, staff was great and friendly Everything about this hotel is made to be easy for the traveler. We didn’t include breakfast in our stay as it was for 6 nights but did buy tickets for one morning and it was delicious for a reasonable price

Located in Matsushima, 10 km from Shiogama Shrine, Matsushima Koumura features accommodation with a hot tub and a public bath. It was a great stay. We were greeted by the owner of the hotel, a very kind woman and her husband. During our stay we were very well treated: without asking our luggage was brought upstairs, we got nice gifts (sake) and lots of recommendations. The room was clean and spacious with a nice view, the futon mattresses were very comfy. The location was also perfect for us, not too far from the city center but also in a quiet neighbourhood. Above all we also really enjoyed the public bath.

Offering a fitness centre free of charge, Hotel Metropolitan Sendai East has direct access to Sendai Station. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. Really nice hotel. Large and airy room which was also nicely styled and immaculate. Great location with access from within Sendai Station itself (with an additional lift access on floor two). You don't get any more central and of course plenty of food and shopping as per Japanese main stations.

会津七日町inn is situated in Aizuwakamatsu, 1.5 km from Aizuwakamatsu Station and 4.2 km from Mount Iimori. Featuring a terrace, the 2-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom. All good things! Great location close to the touristy things. Very clean and efficient use of space. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The bathrooms were very clean and private, a good ratio of bathrooms to guests — if you’re worried about “shared bathrooms”.

かぐら庵 is situated in Kitakata, 22 km from Mount Iimori, 38 km from Mount Bandai, as well as 23 km from Aizuwakamatsu Castle. Quiet in spite of being located near a cross junction. Restaurants and convenience stores nearby. This tiny house has EVERYTHING you need. Very thoughtfully furnished. Very comfortable futons and soft sheets. Clean as a whistle! Owner lives 5min away and came to help me when I got confused about how to get my key from the box attached to the side of the house. The owner responds to messages very promptly. There is a file folder with pictures and descriptions of places to eat at and stuff to do in the vicinity, even very clear directions for guests, which is super duper thoughtful. I highly recommend!. Tq Ms Aria!! It was a very good stay even though it was just one night.

Situated in Takagi, 11 km from Shiogama Shrine, Bridge33 CAFE AND HOSTEL features air-conditioned accommodation and a bar. Compared to some places I've rated a 10, this could be a 12! Amazing value. It's a short walk from the two main stations (around 10 mins) and about a 20 min walk to the famous bridge. The place was modern (seemed recently opened) and was very clean throughout. I had a single room that was really spacious. The bed was comfy and it was a really quiet area. Best night's sleep in over a week! The kitchen/ lounge area was also spacious and clean. The owner/ staff were also really friendly and stopped in to have a chat. I wish I could have stayed longer - the cafe/ bar downstairs seemed like a cool place. Highly recommend!
