Dormy Inn Aomori Natural Hot Spring is set in Aomori, 6 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 43 km from Tsuta Hot Spring. With a restaurant, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. We loved our stay here. Location is great, an easy walk from the train station, and lots of food options around. (We loved Nonohana (ののはな), an izakaya just around the corner. We sat at the bar and had a great time chatting with some of the regulars - the food here is delicious and very affordable.) The hotel has an awesome natural hot spring, including an open air one, so I bathed while watching the snow fall - it was pretty magical. Then they offer free ice creams, a manga library, and free massage chairs - it doesn't get much better. The buffet breakfast was expensive but we had a lot of fun trying different dishes - this is a great way to try the famous Aomori apple if you're in a rush. We had apple juice, apple pie and apple jelly!

The location, the view, the facilities, amenities, service. I didnt try the breakfast because we were always on day trips early in the morning.

かぐら庵 is situated in Kitakata, 22 km from Mount Iimori, 38 km from Mount Bandai, as well as 23 km from Aizuwakamatsu Castle. The inn had everything you would need, washing machine, bug spray etc. The owner was really nice and had an english instruction manual with nearby attractions. The lights could dim and turn all off or all on with one switch.

Located in Kitashiobara, 22 km from Mount Bandai, Urabandai Cranes provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. The owner was very kind and helpful! The breakfast was delicious and the ofuro was also great!

Set in Hirosaki, 45 km from Sannai-Maruyama site, HOTEL ZEN-Adult Only offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Wattaru is an excellent host. From the time we reached and until the time we left, he was taking care of us. He was providing all the right info so that we can plan our stay and visit to the Hirosaki Park foe Cherry Blossoms. Another thing worth mentioning is the breakfast. It was delicious. The Zen garden looks beautiful.

Situated in Takagi, 11 km from Shiogama Shrine, Bridge33 CAFE AND HOSTEL features air-conditioned accommodation and a bar. Very nice people, clean facilities, cute bar downstairs, with spacious rooms and delicious breakfast (paid). It was a very enjoyable experience. Please do mind that most activity plays at the other part of Matsushima, which is about half an hour walking.
