The room was clean, modern, well equipped, comfortable and spacious by Japanese standards. Lovely breakfast with lots to choose from. Very close to the station which was why we chose it as a stop off location. A pity we didn't have time to use the spa.

Guesthouse Iwase se nachází v Toyamě, 2,2 km od Toyama-kō a 14 km od rodinného parku Toyama. We were happy to be walking distance to the beach on a hot day. The location is very accessible by transit. We loved how quiet the area was. The neighbours were very friendly - we ended up watching fireworks with both the host and the neighbours. There was an unexpected festival we came across (Minato), and it was an excellent, friendly experience. The host was very communicative and helpful.

Very nice guest house in a slightly remote and calm area, which was just what we were looking for. We rented an ebike for a small fee to explore the surroundings. Dinner and breakfast were great and the hosts were very friendly. We would book it again. Arigato Gozaimasu!

The host was kind, considerate and warm! She made our stay extremely comfortable, and the futons were the most comfortable we had ever slept on!!! Also we were going to a local onsen and she provided us with coupons! We were very pleased! I highly recommend this accommodation for its location, price and hospitality!

We loved everything about the Minshuku and the town. With no doubt one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The host was very friendly, the meals delicious, and the house beautiful. Highly recommended!

A ryokan which still upholds the tradition of Japanese hospitality. Even I booked only a single room, I was surprised to find my tatami room so spacious with balcony opens to a beautiful koi pond. I was treated with a famous local biscuit as welcome gift. The breakfast was the tastiest and most eye-pleasing meal I had in my entire 2 weeks-trip. The clam soup was so fresh. The host helped to call the previous hotel I stayed because I left my adaptor & mobile charger there. He was kind to also let me use his charger that night. The room was warm in chilly autumn night and I had a good sleep after soaking in hot bath. It was rainy when I arrived and left the ryokan but because of the hospitality I received, I wished I could have stayed there for another night or 2.

My stay at Yanafu was truly delightful. The Japanese house, with its spacious 120 m², is very welcoming, comfortable, and beautifully designed with a natural and sustainable style. Bright, full of light, and featuring restored wood details, it also has a vintage HiFi stereo system that sounds absolutely wonderful. The bathroom was spacious with two individual showers, and the bedroom was perfectly quiet, equipped with a brand-new air conditioner. The host was very kind and friendly—she recommended all the wonderful places I visited nearby. Thanks to her advice, I enjoyed a fantastic restaurant just 12 minutes away on foot, where a talented chef served exquisite dishes in a minimalist setting with a table overlooking a zen garden, all at a very reasonable price. On my way back, I followed her recommendation to stop at a cocktail bar 8 minutes from the house, walking along the illuminated riverside. The place was like stepping into a movie set—the interior design was a true work of art, with more than 80 bourbons and an extensive selection of cocktails. The next morning, following her guidance again, I had breakfast in a café walking only 6 minutes, a former fisherman’s warehouse beautifully renovated. They served excellent coffee, cakes, and sandwiches—the perfect spot to start the day or work with a laptop. In summary, my stay at Yanafu was wonderful. The 120 m² house is warm and cozy, and with the host’s thoughtful recommendations, I could enjoy unique and unforgettable places within walking distance. Ideal for families, groups, and also for romantic couples, thanks to the beautiful surroundings. I will definitely return often.
