JAL hotel is amazing and has exceeded our expectation. The room was nicely sized but even better thing is that it was designed for practical use. The bed is comfy, the bathroom has a sperated shower and a bathtub glassdoor up from the toilet and sink area- pretty big comparing to the standard Japanese hotel bathroom size. The breakfast was great, many option foods ranging from traditional to classic American breakfast.

Everything is super clean and tidy yet very cozy and it feels like home. The shower rooms are wonderful, the rooms are spacious, the kitchen has absolutely everything and all such good quality. We stayed two nights and visited the world heritage sites nearby. You can get to Ainokura walking 30/40 minutes. The others are reached by bus and the bus stop is right in front of the house. You have a supermarket 2 blocks away, two bakeries from Which I totally recommend the bread / doughnut with red bean paste and the cakes. We also had a wonderful dinner in one of the restaurants. The host was so kind and attentive to every detail. I totally fully recommend staying here. Wonderful experience!

The sleeping area was traditional Japanese whereas the bathroom was modern, so we had both a cultural immersion and modern comforts. We were a family of 5 so we had the entire minshuku to ourselves. This is the most special stay we had in our 2-week holiday in Japan. There is something magical about spending the night in Ainokura, and we are thankful for having had the privilege.

The hosts (husband and wife) were the most friendly and welcoming ever and they made everyone feel comfortable. The bed (futon) was comfortable and everything was very clean. The food was delicious and felt fresh (I mean, I saw the husband grilling our fresh fish, so I know it's fresh). Absolutely recommended!

The Japanese house, with its spacious 120 m², is very welcoming, comfortable, and beautifully designed with a natural and sustainable style. Bright, full of light, and featuring restored wood details, it also has a vintage HiFi stereo system that sounds absolutely wonderful. The bathroom was spacious with two individual showers, and the bedroom was perfectly quiet, equipped with a brand-new air conditioner. The host was very kind and friendly—she recommended all the wonderful places I visited nearby. Thanks to her advice, I enjoyed a fantastic restaurant just 12 minutes away on foot, where a talented chef served exquisite dishes in a minimalist setting with a table overlooking a zen garden, all at a very reasonable price. On my way back, I followed her recommendation to stop at a cocktail bar 8 minutes from the house, walking along the illuminated riverside. The place was like stepping into a movie set—the interior design was a true work of art, with more than 80 bourbons and an extensive selection of cocktails. The next morning, following her guidance again, I had breakfast in a café walking only 6 minutes, a former fisherman’s warehouse beautifully renovated. They served excellent coffee, cakes, and sandwiches—the perfect spot to start the day or work with a laptop. In summary, my stay at Yanafu was wonderful. The 120 m² house is warm and cozy, and with the host’s thoughtful recommendations, I could enjoy unique and unforgettable places within walking distance. Ideal for families, groups, and also for romantic couples, thanks to the beautiful surroundings. I will definitely return often.
