The owner was so attentive to our needs in the accommodation. Often going out of her way in recommending the area tourist attractions and local restaurants. Even to the point of assisting us to reach the destination. To cap everything off, we discovered the owner made the best, yes the best coffee in Tongyeong. We will not hesitate in staying there again and recommending to our friends.

When I arrived, Jeroen invited me to join his Korean BBQ with a fellow traveler who was staying at his house. I also received great information about all the islands I could travel to by ferry. After two days, I noticed that my next booking was canceled, so I needed to extend my stay. Jeroen was very accommodating and made it easy for me to stay longer. The next day, we went out for lunch at his neighbor's, which was also really nice. The entire house is very clean and cozy, perfect for relaxing for a moment. The most pleasant thing for me about this property was that Jeroen has a strong Dutch background, which made me feel at home, since I am Dutch. If you are traveling to Korea, you should visit Tongyeong and definitely stay at Jeroen's house. You'll have the best experience :)

The host was very friendly, even though we communicated mainly through the chat/translation app. The fridge was surprisingly well stocked (we did not expect that, as this is an autonomous apartment) - there was also a daily basket of breakfast goodies and a lovely bottle of red as a gift. There's a convenience store within a 3 minutes walk and a bunch of restaurants around the area. Now about the main attraction... The view was stunning, with million-dollar sunsets on a daily basis. And in the morning you can have coffee on the deck observing ships going in and out of Yeosu. All in all, Whale's Dream is a perfect place to slow down and relax and we'll make sure to visit again next time we're in Korea. One thing to consider - the roads in the area winding and rather narrow, so one should account for that when planning daily trips, especially if you want to be back for that stunning evening show of a setting sun.

Also the rooms was very clean and comfortable. There’s a lot of cafes and other activities nearby working till late night so it was very nice to walk around)

The location was good, but it felt a bit empty. The neighbouring towns were livelier, you can get there very quickly by car. (5 min).

I was welcomed with complimentary snacks and accommodations. The front desk employee(owner?) kindly walked me to my room and showed me how to operate switches and thermostat. I took a shot with this place even though it didn't have many reviews but they appeared to be unmanpulated and honest. I'm glad I did because other hotels around here cost easily 50% or more and this place turns out to be a gem. I should've taken a taxi from terminal because they are on a steep hill. Luckily I only had backpacks so it was manageable for me but if you have a heavy carrier, just grab a taxi. Restaurants near by are ok. If you are driving here, none of those potential downsides would affect you.
