Hotel Miss Blanche is a boutique hotel in the centre of Groningen. The hotel offers 62 individually appointed rooms, studios and apartments. Very cozy rooms. We liked it very much, old house renovated, rooms filled with antique furniture.

Set in a 15th-century building, Prinsenhof offers individually decorated rooms. It features the Prinsenhof Gardens, a renaissance-style courtyard with a landscaped rose and herb garden. Friendly staff, clean rooms, great restaurant and a quick walk to the center of town, what more could you want?? They also welcomed our dog without hesitation and the in-room amenities are generous and well-thought out.

19 km from Simplon Music Venue, Pieks Noordlaren is a recently renovated property situated in Noordlaren and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and parking on-site. We had a great stay. Very clean, very well stocked rooms

Woonlandschap De Leyhoeve Groningen is situated in Groningen, within 3.5 km of Simplon Music Venue and 2.9 km of Martini Tower. This is actually an old people's hotel / care place. It is absolutely wonderful and very luxurious. The guest rooms are also offered as hotel rooms when there are no family members/friends visiting their elderly relatives/friends. The room was huge and the beds and the bedding were absolutely wonderful. The bathroom on its own would have been a sizeable hotel room otherwise. It would also be possible to stay there with some handicap, e.g. a lift to help you onto the toilet. At the same time it wasn't feeling like you were in an old people's home.

Situated within 22 km of Simplon Music Venue and 22 km of Martini Tower in Slochteren, Smaakvol Slochteren features accommodation with seating area. A great place to stay that is off the beaten path, yet has easy access to the main roadways. The check in was easy as the host met us when we arrived and gave us a tour. The parking was plentiful and parking in front, we could see the car from the room. The security was good as the town was fairly small and there was not a lot of traffic on the road out front. You enter in a hallway with rooms on the left and the breakfast room on the right. The breakfast room is nice with big picnic-style tables and a refrigerator that is also for the using. The host has also included some niceties, like soda and wine that you may purchase in the breakfast room. If you wanted to get some takeaway and bring it back, this would be a nice, quiet and roomy place for a meal. The bed was nice and comfortable and it has a TV, but we didn’t use it. The room also had a love seat and a table. The shades close easily and the windows open if you need some more air in the room. The bedding was O.K. and there were side tables with plugs on both sides. The bathroom was nice, clean and spacious and the shower was great. The host even included some nice shampoo and soap. The surroundings are nice as the property is very well kept and the outdoor space is very comfortable. I would recommend a stay here, especially if you want a great, out-of-the-way place for a good night’s sleep.

Ark van Thesinge is situated in Thesinge and has a heated pool and garden views. This bed and breakfast features free private parking and free shuttle service. Really, everything! The hosts were so incredibly thoughtful and kind. The breakfast was truly amazing and our accommodations were beautiful and so very comfortable. The location itself was perfect: we were able to experience a peaceful and charming village with a historical windmill while also only being 20 minutes away from a larger city.

Lodge De Zandbalk, a property with a garden, is set in Sebaldeburen, 46 km from Posthuis Theater, 50 km from Holland Casino Leeuwarden, as well as 6.7 km from Grijpskerk Station. The location and view is lovely. The host is extremely nice and helpful. The amenities are excellent. Highly recommend. We only stayed for one night but wish we had more time to stay foe longer.

Located 12 km from Westerwolde Golf, B&B Bosstee offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden. There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay. It was amazing! Best family weekend here. Pretty and quiet location. Breakfast was very yummy, everything what you need and if you have some special need for your breakfast it’s not problem at all. In kitchen is everything, even aluminium foil or paper towels or plastic cups/plates for children. And the bed? Pait's Laand Bed & Breakfast is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Overschild, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. Close to Groningen and yet in the countryside. A nice place to stay. Ideal if you want to visit Groningen or simply bike around and visit the villages along the Eem. You can park your car inside the property. It is very calm and private. Check in and check out very convenient. Bedding was comfortable. Breakfast was superb.

Set in Winsum, 16 km from Simplon Music Venue and 17 km from Martini Tower, Loft 32 offers spacious air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. Anita our host welcomed us to this cozy loft in the middle of Winsum. Beautifully built on top of one of the best bakeries in the region. Out of which they serve a perfect breakfast! Amazing croissants, freshly baked, couldn’t be better.
