Perfectly located in between Visby and Fårö-- very peaceful, but within a few minutes from the main road on the east side of Gotland. The breakfast was wonderful, especially the fresh waffles and juice shots. The hosts are incredibly kind and make you feel very welcome, and there is a wealth of things to do in the area. If you are there when the cafe is open in the evenings, it was nice to have a place to grab a healthy meal and a glass of wine. It is obvious a lot of care has gone into making the B&B warm, super clean, and inviting. We loved our stay and hope to return!

Our hosts Charlotte and Lars were the perfect guides in helping us make the most of our days. Breakfasts and dinners were both beautifully prepared and delicious. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. For all of Strandakar’s charms and beauty, it is the hosts are the magic that makes this place special and one to return to again. This charming, eco-friendly hotel is just inside Visby’s medieval city walls, 350 metres from Stora Torget square. It offers 2 furnished courtyards, free Wi-Fi and cosy, individually designed rooms. Everything! Camilla was especially helpful. Everyone was wonderful. Beautiful, historic buildings with all the comfort for a great stay.

As my flight to Stockholm was cancelled, I picked out this hotel out of the hotel list on Booking.com right after I confirmed with SAS customer service rep that I needed to stay overnight in Visby. To my surprise, the hotel was a jewel. The hotel is in a medieval establishment, and my wife and I enjoyed the setting including such a romantic bed. A hotel reception lady was so friendly and full of hospitality that she gave us breakfast packs of sandwiches, boiled eggs and yogurt. She also made a taxi arrangement so that we could reach Visby Airport in the early morning without a delay, I fully recommend the hotel operated by such good staff.
