The igloo was fantastic. Small but equipped with everything you need. We saw the Aurora from inside the igloo. Incredible experience. You are right on the river which is frozen in Winter and so you can walk across to the Ice Hotel and a great museum/restaurant. Toni and his wife are fantastic hosts.

The living area and rooms were comfortable, especially the bed. The huge windows overlooking the lake was great especially for northern lights viewing. The hosts were accommodating to my requests and even messages me one evening to tell me the northern lights were happening. Would definitely stay here again!

Camp Caroli Mini lodge er gististaður í Kiruna, 21 km frá Esrange Space Center og 24 km frá LKAB Visitor Centre. Þaðan er útsýni yfir vatnið. We stayed at the mini lodge for a couple of nights in late September. The place is quite cozy and convenient. The best feature of it - by far - is the view. Right in front of the lake, with only a thin line of trees. We got some pretty good views of the aurora from inside the cabin. The attached picture was taken from inside (using a tripod of course). You can literally catch the aurora while seating on the couch or on the armchair! Relatively secluded as well, as it is located at the end of the road.
