I can only recommend staying there. The family house is the actual family house of the team behind camp Caroli and it feels right at home. It’s a dreamy cabin at the end of the road with a view directly on the frozen lake. You can’t beat this location. And don’t get me started on the northern lights. It’s the best place to see any. And we saw many! And on New Year’s Eve! Honestly we couldn’t have dreamt of a better way to start 2025. Go at Camp Caroli! The team is super nice, it’s a family run business and you can tell as they make you feel part of the family as well. All the activities are wonderful and well organized. Just pure polar bliss. The house is warm and comfortable. Even by minus 25 which is the temp we got when we were there. The kitchen is big and nice to cook in. And the bathroom has all you need. Just a perfect place really.

Beautifull short hike from the house along the river to a stone beach on the lake. Close enough to train station to walk.

Gave me a tour of the place and ensured I had key. I liked my name on the board outside the door too. Made me feel appreciated. Kitchen had essential items to cook and make coffee. I would stay again and for longer if given opportunity.

Lovely living room/kitchen, hot shower. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and offer breakfast if you wish. For dinner go to the fjällstation (reservation!), it‘s about 15 min walk to the fjällstation, 10 min to the bus stop.

Camp Caroli Mini lodge terletak di Kiruna, 21km dari Kiruna Bus Station, 21km dari Esrange Space Center, dan juga 24km dari LKAB Visitor Centre. We stayed at the mini lodge for a couple of nights in late September. The place is quite cozy and convenient. The best feature of it - by far - is the view. Right in front of the lake, with only a thin line of trees. We got some pretty good views of the aurora from inside the cabin. The attached picture was taken from inside (using a tripod of course). You can literally catch the aurora while seating on the couch or on the armchair! Relatively secluded as well, as it is located at the end of the road.
