Our apartment was very spacious and comfortable, with 2 bathrooms and very well equipped kitchen. I would give it a 10 just based on the accommodations, but would give it even more starts if I could because of our host. Our son need to see a doctor and I asked him where we could go find one. Instead of just directing us to a hospital, he took us there in his car at 6:30 am on a Saturday!

Really nice host, for a last minute booking timon welcomed us really well and was really arranging on the time of the check-in. The appartment was really good and clean

Set in Dutovlje, 19 km from Trieste Train Station, G House offers accommodation with a private beach area, free private parking and a seasonal outdoor swimming pool. We had a two-room apartment with a huge balcony overlooking the vineyards. It was a pleasure to meet and talk with the owners while we were there. We had the added breakfast and it was amazing! G House was super nice and a good location for exploring the area’s wineries and farms. I recommend.

Set within 19 km of Predjama Castle and 34 km of Trieste Train Station in Senožeče, GUESTHOUSE Idila pod Nanosom offers accommodation with seating area. More clean then most expensive hotels. Everything is settled with care about even tiniest details. Renato is probably most kind host which I meet ever. Free parking in front of house is wide and very close to apartments. House is beautiful, also surrounding. 10+

Set within 25 km of Trieste Train Station and 26 km of Piazza Unità d'Italia in Štanjel, Grad Štanjel House offers accommodation with seating area. The apartment was new, clean, had all the amenities. Comfortable bed&pillows. Pretty, modern decoration with nice touches. Great addition was the outside patio, fully equipped and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lastly, the breakfast was absolutely amazing: delicious granola, fruit, jam, selection of cured meats - all home made! PS. If you’re there from Thursday to Sunday, do try the Prix Fixe Menu at the restaurant by the same owner. ⭐️

Situated within 25 km of Trieste Train Station and 26 km of Piazza Unità d'Italia in Štanjel, Vila Ana features accommodation with seating area. Small and modern apartment equipped with kitchenette. Perfect for a short stay. Restaurants were closed on the day we were there but we could easily cook something at the apartment and eat in the nice terrace.

Featuring a garden and views of inner courtyard, House Wisteria is an apartment situated in a historic building in Kostanjevica na Krasu, 28 km from Miramare Castle. Peaceful, clean, and our host was the nicest!!

Featuring pool with a view, garden and views of pool, Škerlj Wine Estate is located in Tomaj, 18 km from Trieste Train Station. A real gem. We received a wonderful welcome from Mirjana, who greeted us with a glass of her fine Teran and we felt instantly at home. Skerlj is a historic wine estate which goes back six generations to 1788; our room was cosy and full of character with beautiful old furniture. Delicious breakfasts with homemade eggs, local jams and honeys etc. Mirjana gave us some excellent recommendations for dinner both nights. A lovely place to wind down and enjoy the atmosphere with the friendly cats and elderly dog. Thoroughly recommended, we can’t wait to return!

Set just 15 km from The Škocjan Caves, Apartma Ob stari murvi, Sežana offers accommodation in Sežana with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as bicycle parking. Having travelled all over Europe, this is hands down the best apartment I have ever stayed in. It is immaculately clean, has everything you could ever dream of having in an apartment and the hosts are incredibly thoughtful - leaving a plate of meats and fresh bread for my arrival. The outdoor space is huge and very private and there is lots to see, do and walk around, nearby. Amazing value for money too.
