Well set in the La Medina district of Tunis, Dar el médina is located 17 km from Salammbo Tophet Archaeological Museum, 400 metres from Dar Lasram Museum and 500 metres from Kasbah Square. Featuring a terrace, the 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The dar is a gorgeous old building, and we had a large room with an alcove and arches and a very high ceiling. The location is superb, right in the middle of the Medina, from which you can walk everywhere. Breakfast was incredible,with freshly squeezed orange juice, omelettes, fresh fruit, home-made jams, yogurt with granola. The staff are very kind and helpful, and they have arrangements with a taxi service that will take you to and from the airport, to the Bardo, etc. We could not have been more pleased with Dar Medina!

The owners met us at the property for our arrival around 21:00, took every care to make us feel comfortable, and provided great information on local sights. The rooms are very nice, even nicer than they appear in the pictures. One of the nicest showers I have ever had in a stay.

From the moment I arrived, the staff ( specifically Mohammed) was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring a smooth check-in process.

Lovely decor and plenty of bedding and blankets. The owner was very friendly and responded quickly to questions. Good value for money, I’d recommend a stay here.

He assisted me with my luggage and was very accommodating when it came to checking in and out. He was also willing to answer any travel questions I had and offered advice. Such a wonderful man. The apartment itself was very charming with its traditional decor, and also very comfortable and clean. It had everything I needed for my overnight stay. I even took photos to show my friends how pretty it was. I would definitely stay there again.

Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the apartment free of charge. The property is soundproof and is located 400 metres from Baron d'Erlanger Palace. Absolutely everything! The owner was extremely friendly and kind, he invited me to see all his artwork when I arrived and I met his family and had an amazing traditional Tunisian couscous! I spent hours conversing with them - what a lovely experience. He was very thorough on explaining the home and even had fracassie, cheeses, and yogurt available for my arrival. The home was more than I expected. Prefect kitchen with all the ammenities. Bath tub to relax, salon area to chill, massive bedroom with fun and gorgeous decorations all over the home. It was close to the city as well as the beach, lovely cafe close by and supermarket for anything you need it just a 2 min walk. I was also given a few unexpected gifts before my departure, and this was so lovely and kind! I will def be renting this place again when I return to Tunisia in April!
