Highly recommend the stay for solo travelers, the shared dorm is hands down the best I've stayed in. Will not hesitate to stay there again if I am travelling to Tainan

Great location in Tainan, about 15 mins by bus from the Tainan station (45 mins from the HSR station). The hosts were extremely helpful with a lot of suggestions to eat, drink and see around the property, including a google maps favorites list. The property is located close to the historical Shennong street area, a lot of great local shopping and Taiwan style food stalls and shops selling local delicacies. The bed was very comfortable! I would highly recommend Maru Yang!
