My name is Michael Lucas, Tatyana is my wife, we came to the hotel from Miami to celebrate a New Year's Eve 2023. We had an unbelievable time. Nicolas Muller - the hotel's food and beverage manager, organized for the guest's of the hotel a fantastic, high quality New Year's Eve party in the rooftop hotel restaurant overlooking the magnificent lake Neuchatel! Though we did not have a reservation for the New Year's Eve celebration which had all been sold out, he managed to accommodate us as well. Nicolas Muller's professionalism has no limits or boundaries, Nicolas is a detail-oriented high-professional with top skills in hospitality management. He can make people happy even in unpredictable situations. Thank you Nicolas, you made us happy on the New Year's Eve 2023 and you make this hotel a better place and we will by all means come back to your hotel again to experience a high level food and beverage service. Oh what a place for a countryside getaway. Hotel Von Bergen is an extremely charming place with so many details that show the history of the hotel. Starting from the hallway all the way to the hotel rooms, it is very carefully decorated with authentic details. Even though you have a feeling that you're in a museum and that you're part of an old cottage, the amenities (e.g. bathroom, shower, etc.) are all upgraded and modern. The rooms are quiet, as the hotel is located in country side. The hotel staff can give a masterclass in hospitality. They are super attentive and helpful. The restaurant, which is part of the hotel offered one of the best meals we've had. Even though we didn't have a reservation (the restaurant was fully booked), they managed to accomodate us and improvise a perfect table under the tree. The chef presented us with the menu du jour and described the dishes in detail. The local wine was perfect, the food was excellent, and the desert even better. We enjoyed our stay so much, we wished we stayed longer. We will definitely be back when in that area again.
