Host was exceptional with his warm hospitality, greeted us with freshly made welcome drinks, setup dinner at a family restaurant & packed a delicious boxed breakfast for our early morning departure. We felt like family! Thank you!! Villa was modern, comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood.

The owner was absolutely adorable, and he took us across the lake to eat fresh fish cooked on the fire with his funny friends. We had an amazing time in Abu Simbel thanks to them. The hotel was also nice and very close to the temples (10min by foot).

The location is very good and the host is full of resources and help. The bedroom has air conditioning which was definitely a big plus considering the heat at the end of May.

The hotel is conveniently located a few meters from the entrance to the archaeological site. Our room was large, bright and soberly furnished. The staff members are very courteous and all speak decent English. However, the most notable aspect of this hotel is undoubtedly its distinctive atmosphere: in an architecture with evidently Nubian features is arranged an interesting collection of furniture items and vintage objects of local and European origin put together with refined elegance by the owner. From the old car parked beside the entrance to the paintings, prints, photographs, knick-knacks, wall clocks, and musical instruments, everything contributes to the Tuya hotel's singular distinction, all the more surprising in such a remote area.
