Located 21 km from Snowdon, the property provides a garden and free private parking. The wifi was excellent which was essential for us. Belinda was so thoughtful and made us really at home but gave us plenty of privacy. She went the extra mile making it seasonal for Christmas. The cottage itself was modern but homely and perfectly comfortable for our family of four (kids 6 and 9). The village is close by and fantastic for shopping and all the mountain and river walks you could want. Llanrwst has everything else you need and a really good chippie.

Beaver Grove Cottage is located in Betws-y-coed, 21 km from Snowdon, 27 km from Snowdon Mountain Railway, and 30 km from Llandudno Pier. Complimentary WiFi is provided throughout the property and private parking is available on site. We spent 3 nights at the cottage. The location of the cottage was perfect, just on the edge of Betws y Coed . Please note that the bridge which provides a short cut across the river, is currently closed but you can still walk to town in around 15 mins. Take a torch with you The cottage is very quaint and comfortable-set in beautiful grounds. It was nice to relax in the evenings or have a drink in the garden after walking all day. We didn't use the log fire as we were lucky with the weather but we appreciated having Netflix on the TV whilst resting our legs in the evenings. It was a perfect base for discovering North Wales. From here we were able to visit: Beddgelert, Porthmadog, Portmeirion, Harlech, Barmouth, Anglesey, Caernafon and Snowdon. The longest drive was Anglesey -45 mins. Most places were a 20-30 mins drive. All of these places I would recommend. Beautiful scenery and loved the Castles. As we had climbed Snowdon on a previous visit, we decided to walk the Watkin Path. If you walk for about 50 mins, you will pass the most beautiful waterfalls. Take a walk down to them and see the pools. A fantastic place to have a cold water dips and the colour of the water just has to be seen! Whilst in Betws y coed - Take a walk along the river, visit the Swallow falls and stop and have a scone and a cuppa at the Ugly house. Legend says that anyone able to build a dwelling in just one day, complete with four walls and a chimney smoking by dawn, could claim it as his own. Its very charming! There are 3 pubs/restaurants near the cottage but I would recommend booking before you go if you can, as some were fully booked when we tried. We did have a meal one night in the Waterloo Hotel- just across the bridge and passed the Shell Garage. Food was delicious and they didn't rush you with your meals. We also ordered an Indian Take away from Ty Asha Balti House, Llanwrst. It was delicious & only 5 minute drive away.

The property was clean and well equipped when I arrived with a lovely packet of Welsh cakes which was much appreciated after a long drive. The location of this holiday cottage can't be beat with spectacular views of the Moel. Despite being positioned amongst beautiful natural scenery, this never felt detrimental to the cottage's other features. It was well heated, comfortable, with a solid internet connection throughout and the jacuzzi bath was a blessing after a long, wet day in the mountains.

Food was very good. Pets allowed which was exceptional. Bed was very comfy, bathroom needed a bit of attention. Location brill lots of walking. Zip world just round the corner, great for entertaining children as well as adults
The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Loved the room and the fact it was only attended to if you needed it. The location is great. And the hotel is very dog friendly.
Great fun apartment number 6. Pet friendly and a good location for everyone. Nice welcome pack including essentials and Prosecco. Nice hot water in the shower and heating worked well. It was out 3rd time staying at alpine apartments and it won’t be the last. Easy to go downstairs to the cafe in the morning or the pizza restaurant at night if you don’t want to use the well stocked kitchen. Plenty of free parking in the village if you don’t mind walking a minute or two.
Great location, friendly staff, lovely rooms and decor. Great dog friendly hotel.
Staff friendly, warm and welcoming, lovely location, great breakfast, pet friendly room which was fab will defo be back
Excellent location, hotel team friendly and helpful and the food was great too. The welcome packs for our two dogs were a very nice touch and very much appreciated. Good to see a place that understands what dog friendly means as opposed to being accepting of dogs. Big difference…
The open lounges with plenty of seating areas. Cosy fires. Excellent food and bedroom well equipped. Lots of choice on breakfast menu. Pet friendly and nice areas to eat with your dogs. Definately will be staying here again.
Absolutely stunning cottage, a proper home from home. Extremely well furnished, very clean and really good quality finishings. Location was great, so close to Betws-y-coed and an excellent base to explore the area. Very pet friendly, we were allowed to use a secure field on the premises to exercise our dog (which also has the benefit of fab views from the top of the hill). Eirian is a really friendly and accommodating host. Loved our stay!
Wonderful location and dog friendly which i did not know about till we got there (soooo many doggos to pet) rooms and facilites are great. Bar and food where top notch in all a fantastic visit for our first time in Snowdonia.
Location and surroundings ideal, central for reaching Llandudno, Chester etc. Hotel spotless, staff friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Very pet friendly, even the dog was given breakfast which we were very impressed with 👍 We had two rooms close together which is what we asked for, they were spotless, beds were comfortable and slept really well. The food was great so would recommend having all meals here. We will definitely be booking again, would highly recommend this hotel and so would Harry the dog 🐶
