The location of the hotel was central - lots of places nearby to eat and drink and a quaint high street with lots of lovely shops. We chose not to bring our dog on this occasion but lovely to see it was a dog friendly hotel with water for the dog and treats (sausages) on offer. However, I personally didn’t find any of the issues that have been commented on. The staff were friendly, the location was great and the room was comfortable. The room (and pub in general) looked as though its recently undergone refurbishment, with new carpets and the rooms bathroom looking brand new. Nice quiet room (a little traffic noise, but it didn't keep us up), comfy beds, really good breakfast and all for a great price.
