My stay at Bardia Eco Friendly resort was fantastic - a real highlight of a short 2 week trip to Nepal. Shardul and his family were so welcoming and knowledgeable about the park, the wildlife and the local community. The food was absolutely delicious, the accommodation very comfortable and the Jeep and walking safari come highly recommended. Shardul is an excellent guide and knows the park extremely well - we were lucky enough to see a leopard, rhino and large herd of elephants on our first day. I only wish I could have stayed longer - I will try to make it back one day!

i spent a good stay in that nice family. nanu and his wife kali take care of you very well. she cooks a delicious dahl. And nanu explains you how the safari goes to happen. he will be your guide during the safari. i did safari walking and jeep. i saw tigers/rhinoceros/elephants/snakes/monkeys...). good price!! there are 2 or 3 rooms. usually not a lot of people. big room with mosquito net, fan ceiling and your own bathroom. it was clean. nothing to say. i paid 210€ in all : for 4 safaris walking and 1 safari jeep, meals, free water bottles, room. 8.5 days!! safari begins at 7am and finishes like 6pm. bardia park is good if you want to avoid the tourists like in chitwan. so lets go to nanu homestay if u want a very good experience in a local family instead a ressort expensive and without contact with the owner.

Best homestay ever!!!!!! Mukti and Renuka are the most lovely people, they made our stay just terrific! The local and organic food from the garden was amazing. Mukti is the best safari guide you can ask. We enjoyed every minute in the week we spent there.

Hukum, the owner and guide, worked so hard to make sure I had a good time. His wife provides the meals, which were excellent and organic (many of the items are from his own garden). He helped me plan an itinerary for my time there. His prices were reasonable for the excursions. I saw a tiger and elephant in the wild as well as many other species of birds and animals. Although it's significantly more expensive than the other day trips, I would recommend the rafting. It was peaceful and a unique way to see Bardiya.

We cannot say enough good things about Mr. B’s. This is a budget hotel/cottage in a small village outside a National park, so its offerings are simple but met all of our needs. The room was one of the nicest we had in Nepal (and the cheapest), the food was delicious and the whole experience left us relaxed and refreshed. I am not sure life will ever bring me back to Bardiya, but if it does- this is where I will stay.
