The rooms are spacious, stylish, beautiful, and new, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. Breakfast was an absolute delight, and the dinner alone is a reason to come back — truly exceptional. The location couldn’t be more central, and the modern spa is a wonderful bonus. I would especially like to highlight the reception team: everything was organized for us perfectly and even beyond our expectations. They took care of every detail with genuine kindness and professionalism. I highly recommend this hotel, and if I return to Basel, I will definitely book this hotel again. Situated in the centre of Basel's Old Town, on the banks of the Rhine, Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois is one of Europe’s oldest city hotels, where such personalities as Napoleon, Elizabeth II, Pablo... This hotel offers ultimate luxury from start to finish. The style is traditional, everything is impeccably maintained, and the entire place is spotless. The staff were exceptional, always greeting us with a smile and being incredibly helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious, the cocktails were perfect, and the breakfast, cakes, and other treats were outstanding. Our room was extremely comfortable and very quiet. Every piece of furniture and every detail had clearly been thoughtfully considered and was in perfect condition. They provided robes, slippers, shoehorns, an umbrella, and more. The welcome treats included fresh fruit, chocolates, and a little Eurovision-themed cake. In the evenings, they tidied the room for turndown service, closed the curtains, and neatly arranged our belongings. The corridors were carpeted with a thick central runner, which meant we never heard anyone passing by, even though the hotel was fully booked. We were also given a jar of hotel jam to take away with us and we can't wait to try it. If you’re considering this hotel and can afford the price tag, you will not be disappointed. Book it.
