Views are stunning. The village is quite small, doesn't have a lot of events. Comfy beds, clean shared bathrooms, clean towels. Places to sit and spend time near hotel.

On the sunny plateau of Melchsee-Frutt in the Swiss Alps, 1,920 meters above sea level, this hotel features a spa and an open-air lounge with mountain views. Stöckalp SMF Ski Lift is 150 metres away. Skvělý resort, není co vytknout. Luxusní snídaně, ale i nabídka v restauracích, spa, pokoje, výhled, personál, vše a všichni bylo skvělé. K ubytování vede v létě jen jedna cesta, kdy v sudé hodiny můžete nahoru a liché dolu. To trochu výlety omezuje, ale my jsme s tím problém rozhodně neměli. Jen dny byly krátké :-D V okolí trasy na tůry, k jezerům. Možno zakoupit i místní sýry a jiné výrobky.

Hotel Waldegg - Adults only má vyvýšenou jižní polohu v Engelbergu. Nabízí panoramatický výhled na hory, wellness centrum s krytým bazénem a restauraci. The service was exceptional - from a relaxed glass of champagne on arrival to help putting chains on our car tyres on departure. Our room was spacious, elegantly decorated with a stunning view of the mountains and Engelberg. We ate at the Thai restaurant which offers outstanding food and at the European restaurant which has a small but well cooked menu. Breakfast was plentiful with options for high end warm dishes. The infinity pool was amazing with various jets and a separate warmer jacuzzi. The outdoor hot tub and sauna in a cable car cabin felt especially luxurious, surrounded by snow and Christmas lights. The indoor spa (2 saunas, steam room and special showers) is quite small, but during our stay we had it mostly to ourselves. For a romantic and relaxing short stay, it was perfect and we plan to come again!

Beautiful location, a 20-25 minute walk to the heart of Engelberg. The owners were very hospitable and friendly and it was a wonderful stay overall.

Set in Engelberg and with Engelberg-Titlis reachable within 1.2 km, Hotel Sonnwendhof Engelberg offers express check-in and check-out, allergy-free rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi throughout the... We came back to Sonnwendhof third time and it is always perfect! It is perfect welcoming, great rooms and astonishing views, very close to everything you might need, amazing breakfast with multiple choices and some very local products. I like how everything is decorated in the hotel and how ladies working at the hotel care about their guests. It is definitely one of the best family hotels in Switzerland. Engelberg guest card would be timely arranged. Free parking in front of the hotel. I guess we forgot to pay for the city taxi before leaving but my card was charged without any unnecessary stress.
