I spent one night at this lodge before starting the Quilotoa Loop and I absolutely loved it. It feels just like home — the welcome was so warm and friendly. The dinner and breakfast were both delicious and very generous. The view is stunning, and you can enjoy it from your bed, the dining area, and all around the outdoor spaces. I highly recommend this place, especially for the kindness of the people.

The hostel owner is an incredibly kind and friendly woman who really goes above and beyond to make sure that you enjoy your stay and feel at home. The rooms were comfortable and clean and all of the food was also really tasty. We really enjoyed our stay !

The food was so wonderful and innovative, the place is cozy and the coffee and tea bar was wonderful, water and lovely banana bread were complimentary.. We wish we stayed longer than 1 night. The staff was also lovely, cheerful and extremely helpful.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hostel has a very nice common area with fire which assisted in guests hanging out together.

The hostel is amazing. The food was good and I enjoyed participating the yoga class in the morning. Could easily stayed more nights.

Rondador Cotopaxi is your best bet in the area of the Cotopaxi park. Highly accessible from the Panamericana, this place offers amazing food for breakfast, lunch and dinner (many people stop here on their way up or down the Cotopaxi as the restaurant is renown all-around for its great food). Our host Fernando made sure we had everything covered and organized daily tours to any destinations (Illinizas, Cotopaxi Park etc.) with his guides. The rooms were smallish but very cozy and very calm

Definitely the owners, patricia and Jose, and the staff were the highlight of our stay. For any given question, problem or ask they were always promptly ready to help with anything. The second greatest highlight was the food — it was really good too!

Golden Rest Latacunga Hotel is a fantastic place to stay and easy to highly recommend. The staff are amazing, and the owner is exceptionally helpful — from personally guiding us to the room, holding our luggage for 3 days, helping flag down a taxi and negotiating the price, to giving clear, detailed information about buses and travel logistics. If you’re planning to do the Quilotoa loop, this is absolutely the man to talk to. The rooms are comfortable, with hot showers and great water pressure. Breakfast is standard but perfectly fine, and the lovely courtyard is a great place to relax. The location is excellent and convenient for exploring Latacunga and beyond. Overall, a welcoming, well-run hotel that makes traveling in the area much easier. Highly recommended.
