Set on the Bay of Biscay and surrounded by mountains, the Higueralde guest house is located 15-minutes’ walk from the beach. It offers rooms with central heating and free Wi-Fi. The host was there to get us on arrival and was extremely friendly and welcoming. The breakfast each morning was wonderful and more than enough for the two of us. The views from the place are amazing, definitely one of the biggest attractions. The host made himself reachable around the clock, which we did once our twice during our stay. Highly recommend.

Less than 5 km from the coast and beside the Basque town of Irun, this charming hotel has a lovely garden and free internet. Excellent bed, excellent shower, excellent staff. Top.

Located in Deba, 200 metres from Santiago de Deba Beach, Hiru Uhinak provides accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. I loved everything. From the spacious room, comfortable beds, to the closeness to the beach. I am dreaming to go back again to spend more time there. The food was also amazing and it is a pet friendly hotel.

Lovely walks with our 2 dogs. Log fire in the cabin adding to the cosiness. Overall a great place to stay.

Situated in Elgóibar, in a historic building, 42 km from Sanctuary of Arantzazu, Casa rural Abatetxe is a country house with a fitness centre and indoor pool. Casa rural Abatetxe is a lovely farmhouse set in the lower mountains of the Basque Country. It has been carefully and lovingly restored and is a really comfortable place to stay. We stayed for two nights and were lucky enough to benefit from Mateo’s cooking for breakfast and dinner. Our meals were delicious on both nights and Mateo went out of his way to make our whole stay as comfortable as possible- he was the perfect host.

Offering quiet street views, BALENTZIAGA Getaria is an accommodation set in Getaria, 24 km from La Concha Promenade and 24 km from Peine del Viento Sculptures. Great little pet friendly apartment. Quiet but close to the town and bus stop for buses to San Sebastian. Overlooked the fact that there was no A/C, and we ran into some warmer weather, but 2 fans were provided and the apartment did not get very hot. Kitchen had everything you would need. Nice to have free and easy parking.
