Boasting a garden and views of garden, le bonheur des plumes is a recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Montmartin-en-Graignes, 21 km from Haras of Saint-Lô. Great room with ensuite bathroom. Host was very kind and communicative. The bed was super comfy and I was well rested after a long car journey. The fully-equipped communal kitchen had all the necessary utensils and more. The host provided a wonderful traditional French breakfast, prepared with lots of care. Would be more than happy to return for a longer stay. Everything was very clean. Top quality shower. Court yard where I was able to park the car was an added bonus, totally safe.

For breakfast, there was coffee, juice, breads, yogurts, and American offerings like bacon and eggs. The location is near the cathedral, tour pick-ups, and many restaurants. We walked from the train station but taxis are available. Bayeux is a must-see. Don't miss the famous tapestry.
