Great location along the bank of the river with an excellent view of Pont Valentré. We spent a lot of time on our balcony and enjoyed delicious meals on the terrace facing the river. The hotel restaurant and bar offer the best view in all of downtown Cahors, thus we had no desire to make dinner reservations elsewhere during our weekend stay.

Lovely pool and gardens with many interesting pieces of art amongst the plants. Mathieu & Denis were lovely. We were able to have a fabulous dinner there; a special charcuterie platter. We could buy wines and really enjoy the location. Very happy to have air conditioning too!

My wife and I stayed in the chamber d'hôtes having made the booking very last minute as we meandered unpredictably down through France in our electric car. The owners were brilliant in confirming availability within half an hour of our request which was really helpful. Others have commented eloquently on the accommodation and location and we fully concur - it offered a wonderfully peaceful interlude in a sometimes fraught travel itinerary. We were given good advice regarding a restaurant to head to in St Cirq Lapopie which did not disappoint, with the added bonus of car charger in the town which fed the battery, albeit slowly, whilst we were enjoying dinner. In the morning, a very enjoyable continental breakfast was brought over in a large basket, and we had the company of 5 adventurous kittens on the outside terrace. The owners are inspirational in all that they are trying to achieve, growing plants and vegetables, running the gite and the hotel d'hôtes, organising musical and theatrical events during the summer, and looking after dogs, cats and the clients with good humour.

You can relax in the living room, prepare meals using the shared kitchen or visit the Pont Valentré, which is 7 km away. This was the best booking of our trip. Our hosts, Lief and Lucy went out of their way to make us feel like we were part of their family and shared their knowledge of the area and all of its attractions. The petit dejeuner was more like a banquet of home made breads, jams and fruit grown in their garden, absolutely amazing.

Set in a former iron mill, La Mouline is a guest house which Italian-inspired facades were built in the 18th century over the oldest 15th century original building. Guests are invited to the pool.
