The location was so beautiful and tucked away. We were surprised to receive a free upgrade when we arrived, and the cabins were so picturesque! The staff couldn't do enough to help us and make us feel welcomed.

Fabulous location and gorgeous rooms. We had the suite and one other room and they were superb. And we could walk from our doorstep to all the key pathways of the area.

Located 3 miles from the village of Pulborough, in the Horsham district of West Sussex, Thatched Cottage offers self-catering accommodation for up to 2 guests with a patio, free WiFi and free parking. The pet-friendly property home is 50 miles south west of London and 15 miles from the coast. We stayed in the Shepherd’s Hut and really enjoyed the privacy and facilities. We had everything we needed for a short stay. The outside area was also lovely and would be even better in the summer time when it would be possible to make use of the seating and BBQ.

The medieval Arundel Castle hosts regular events including jousting, Shakespearean plays and the annual Arundel Festival. The town is also home to a cathedral and local museum, and is within 20 minutes’ drive of Chichester and Goodwood Racecourse. Loved the place. It is few minutes from Arundel town centre It had it's own parking. As it was late in the year it was nice that the apartment which was large, had a heating on so it was pleasantly warm.. On the side of the garden is all glass and lovely view of well maintained garden. We were allowed to let the dog out and the towels as well as bowls were provided for the dog. In the morning we could drink our tea in the large sitting room, while the dog roamed the garden. Very cosy. Bathroom was large and had a bath as well as the shower. I can't remember when last I had a soak in the bath as everywhere there are now only the showers. Kitchen was well equipped and Jo provided all the essentials, like tea, coffee, sugar, oil, salt. That is very convinient if you just want to make a fried egg or something simple. It was great to have washing machine and microwave. Loved sofa in the sitting room which had a stand up light by it, so I could lounge and read my book.

Halfway between Midhurst and Petworth, Halfway Bridge is suitably isolated for a weekend break in the beautiful South Downs National Park.

Its location is also convenient for links to Guildford, Portsmouth, Crawley and Chichester. The leisure resorts of Bognor Regis, Worthing and Brighton are also just a short distance away. Upon arrival both Charlene and Rose greeted me with a really warm welcome. They advised me of places to visit within Midhurst and Petworth during my couple of days in the area. My room was immaculately clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. My bathroom was big and I had a relaxing bath. In the morning I woke early and arrived for breakfast at 8am sharp. The open fire was already burning creating a beautiful warmth. Again I was greeted by Charlene and Rose. Rose made me a perfect coffee latte which I drank quickly. No sooner had I finished, Rose asked if I would like another? I love a great coffee and accepted a second and then a third coffee. Rose’s coffee was definitely the best I had while in the area. The full English breakfast was fantastic.

Helpful leaflets about local events and takeaways left for us and the heating was left on for us on a very cold day!
