The hostel is located in a beautiful spot and offers a lot of fun activities to do, such as kayaking, a chocolate workshop, or if you’re looking to relax—lying in a hammock or getting a massage. In the evenings, if you feel like it, you can play games with fellow travelers. The staff members and the owner are incredibly kind and helpful. Every evening a delicious family-style dinner was prepared. I have some allergies, and they adjusted my meals perfectly for me without any trouble.

Hostal Blood Moon is situated in Rio Dulce and has a plunge pool and pool views. This guest house features free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. Friendly, clean, good beds. Good communication, we arrived late and that was no problem.

Cannot fault a thing. The lodge is beautiful. The service outstanding. The price is right for the area and location. We experienced the worst storm they had in 12 years. Rain, wind leaves and branches flying everywhere at the start of dinner service. The staff did a great job at keeping calm and functioning under pressure. They even cleaned in no time no had dinner served for everyone after the worst was over, I was more then impressed as this was going above and beyond

It was a little hot and a bit buggy in the shared dormitory but that’s pretty typical across backpacker spots this time of year (March) I think

Finca Tatin Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and shared lounge in Lámpara. Among the various facilities are a terrace, a bar, as well as a tennis court. Such an amazing place. A great spot to just chill out for a few days. There’s literally a jungle all around and the river is beautiful and clean. The staff were fantastic, they really try to make this place feel like home for you.

Located in Puerto Barrios in the Izabal region, Hermoso Apartamento equipado provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The host was able to place us in a new location as some issues was going on with the location we booked.

With river views, Happy Iguana Marina and Cabins is located in Fronteras and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and barbecue. We enjoyed the pool and staff (Monica and Angel) were really friendly. It nice mangrove environment which makes it beautiful which is why mosquitoes and the occasional cockroach is not because of lacking cleaning. They are just part of the environment.

A recently renovated campground located in Miramar, Coco Bamboo Beach Camp features a garden. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Thvaj you so muhc Cacao bamboo team! A nature and bird watchers paradise. So peaceful. And everyone was so friendly and I enjoyed yummy family meals. I had a lovely stay and lots of doggy cuddles too. I really loved the bamboo hut too a the stunning spot Good luck wiht it all and love the bamboo and cacao projects 💜 Katie x
