We had an amazing helpful and funny host, he replies immediately and sended us lots of updates about auroras, weather, etc. A modern and fully equipped guestroom with large kitchen, common and dinning area, living room area with boardgames, puzzles and extra comfy couches. Amenities and facilities are top notch. The guesthouse also has huge windows with the best views to the ocean. We slept really well. There is also a natural hot pool and hot tub right in front of the place, which is a nice vacation addition.

The center town is at a walking distance. The place is very quiet and pleasant.

At the homestay, the units include bed linen and towels. The hosts were exceptionally helpful, well beyond what I expected. My wife and I arrived fairly late (8:30 pm), and we found that the bathroom was too difficult to access, given her mobility issues. I had reserved a room with shared bath, but had not considered that the toilet would require several stairs. The host sent us to a nearby hotel that had an easier toilet access, without any extra charge. We were very grateful for this. The facility looked very nice with a superb scenic view.

The holiday home has a children's playground and a hot tub. The area is so quiet and peaceful, and the view is amazing. The cottage is very spacious and has a great terrace. We arrived early to catch the creamery open as well (open 13-17), and the ice cream was worth it. Communication was easy with the host, and everything was smooth with the check-in/check-out.

Maggys Home is a recently renovated holiday home in Ólafsvík, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. Amazing house...felt just like home. Perfect for our family trip. Also, great location.

The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, a toaster and a fridge and there is a private bathroom with bathrobes and slippers. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. Property was easily located. Once inside very clean and comfortable. Many “extra” details noted including charging area, some toiletries. Soft towels. The sofa bed converted easily and was large and comfortable. Would be great as a low key getaway but also a nice home base for a small family. Games, maps and information on area attractions all available. We easily could have done much of our touring from there.
