Set just 6.6 km from Santo Toribio de Liebana Monastery, Casa Llayo features accommodation in Aliezo with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as a 24-hour front desk. This was one of the best holiday rentals I've ever stayed in, hands down. It's a little house in a tiny village up in the Liebana mountains, with a stunning view from the terrace. The house is newly built, so it's clean, warm, and comfortable, but at the same time it's cosy and tastefully furnished and decorated. The 2 bedrooms can easily fit a family of 5. Mattresses are springy, on the firm side. There is a quite spacious bathroom and a separate toilet downstairs. The kitchenette is equipped with everything you'd need and, additionally, you may use the bbq on the terrace. It's hard to describe how nice the hosts are! Alicia and Jesus go above and beyond to make your stay as pleasurable as possible, sharing their tasty home wine and offering advice, but everything in a very discrete and unobtrusive manner. There are many hiking opportunities in the area – some easy trails directly from the house and some longer ones in the close vicinity. A quaint mountain town of Potes is 7 minutes away and the cable car to Picos de Europa is 25 minutes driving. I'll definitely come back!

Apartamento Valbuena features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Potes, 3.4 km from Santo Toribio de Liebana Monastery. Great property! Brand new apartment, well located at the entrance of Potes with all the amenities of an hotel. The apartment we stayed is on the ground floor and we could park just outside the door. The place is fully equipped (washing machine, dishwasher and has a TV set in each room). The beds are super comfy and the bedding is impeccable. The owners are extremely friendly and resourceful: they gave good hints about places to visit or restaurants. We shall return!

Offering a terrace and views of the mountain, Posada El Azufral is set in Cambarco in the Cantabria Region, 68 km from Llanes and 80 km from Alto Campoo Ski Resort. Beautiful location, basic but charming and clean room, quiet and quaint. Dinner was good. Super friendly and accommodating staff. We stayed in 9 hotels during our trip, including a Ritz Carlton in Portugal, and this place was our favorite!

Set 3.1 km from Santo Toribio de Liebana Monastery, 9.2 km from Santa Maria de Lebeña Church and 14 km from Desfiladero de la Hermida, Apartamentos Casa de la Abuela offers accommodation situated in... centrally located but in a quiet area, the view is fantastic, the balcony was a lovely place to spend the evening watching the scenery. The apartment had everything you might need and the owner was a really nice chap and very kind.

La Dobra de liebana is located in Cambarco, 10 km from Santo Toribio de Liebana Monastery, 13 km from Santa Maria de Lebeña Church, and 18 km from Desfiladero de la Hermida. Stayed before still excellent, did not want to leave the whole area including the accomodation is fabulous

LA CABAÑA offers accommodation in Cillorigo de Liebana, 31 km from Llanes. Guests benefit from a private garden with barbecue facilities. Free WiFi is available. It's a comfortable apartment - not huge, but cosy. Ojedo is small, but there's a nice place just down the hill - for a drink and/or something to eat. We had a nice time staying here for 4 days. The owner us right up the street - in case you need anything.

Featuring mountain views and a fireplace in each apartment, Apartamentos La Condesa offers rustic apartments with or without a balcony. They are located in Valmeo, 2 km from Potes. Beautiful traditionally decorated house, cozy and quite comfortable. Great reception from the nice host. Recommended

Set in Cucayo, in the beautiful Liébana area of the Picos de Europa Nature Reserve, La Posada de Cucayo inn offers a garden, a terrace and impressive mountain views. Superb location with views from the balcony to die for. Tina and Anna were excellent as hosts and the whole atmosphere was so friendly and accommodating. This was an exceptional stay for us.
