Looking for a hotel with pools?

‘Does it have a pool?’ is arguably one of the most common questions when booking a stay in any location. These hotels offer a great way to keep active during your holiday without having to hit the gym. Indoor pools allow you to practice your backstroke come rain or shine, whereas outdoor options allow you to relax on a sun lounger after swimming a few lengths.

Hotspring options are great. Indoors or outdoors and all options are private. It was not very busy when I was there but I'm sure it gets very busy seasonally

Tabist was an ideal for us as it was close to the bus interchange and had great views from our room. Whilst the ‘hotel’ is looking tired, it is kept very clean and tidy. Our room was a very big room with a great view. The layout made our stay very comfortable. The laundry was very good. The Onsen gave an option of indoor or outdoor. The location near shops, restaurants and the bakery(exceptional) at the bus interchange made it a very comfortable stay. The hosts made us feel welcomed and nothing was too much trouble.

Loved the indoor and outdoor onsen. Book half board because the food is amazing. Different each day and served with care. We have struggled to get anything like it for the price elsewhere. (Also nothing nearby if using bus transport). Owners were very attentive and offered a lift down the mountain on the last day.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean everywhere, provided toiletries and free water to refill. The shower was hot and the room was warm. It was right next to the Shinhotaka Ropeway, so it was very easy to get to the hotel by bus and go to the Ropeway. It was really easy to get to all the other attractions by bus too. You get free access to the indoor and outdoor part of the Shinhotaka Onsen, which is lovely!

The resort is beautiful, and the onsen is very enjoyable. As well as the public baths, there are private indoor and outdoor baths that we really enjoyed. The room was lovely and huge - yet cosy - with a stunning view of the mountains.

There is a mixed bath onsen, and the family can enjoy the experience together. You have a choice of outdoor and indoor pools, which was very nice. This should be an off-peak period as there were very few guests, and we had the entire pool to ourselves.

Loved this experience. Indoor onsen and private outdoor onsens. Outstanding kaiseki meal, and lovely service. Really nice room, clean, warm and comfortable. Fantastic drinks and snacks on arrival, and access to all sorts of card and board games, and useful tourist information. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Close to the Shinhotaka ropeway, ski resorts and the partially frozen Hirayu waterfall. Highly recommend. Great value for money.

A full score staying experience! The amenity is absolutely great, with two onsens in the hotel and the main onsen has both indoor and outdoor pools. I booked a Japanese style guestroom and the experience is quite unique. The hotel location is not so close to the railway station, but definitely within walking distance. Not advertised, but the hotel is acquainted by so many royal members of Japan, and the exhibitions within the hotel is eye opening.
